Position Summary:
The Network Engineer’s role within IT Operations is to plan, design, build, install, configure, manage, secure, document, and support various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QuS), provide resilient, and scalable IT Services to support Martin Brower Distribution Centers across the US. This role will be responsible for developing, documenting, and implementing best practices and standards aimed at optimizing the Network infrastructure within the Reyes Holdings/Martin Brower Data Centers, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle OCI Cloud environments.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Provide end to end ownership and accountability for the service delivery, maintenance, and support of the LAN and WAN network infrastructure of Martin Brower, and performance of the managed service provider(s).

Based on industry-best standards, develop and maintain technical standards and system configuration documentation.

Collaborate with Reyes Holdings Network team to design, build, manage, optimize, support, and maintain the network environment including, but not limited to: LAN/WAN Connectivity, Wireless Network, Cloud Network, Routing, Switching, Load Balancing, SD-WAN, Cisco ACI, Meraki, Proxy, DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management across all Martin Brower Distribution Centers in US.

Work effectively across multiple corporate functions including business, engineering, operations, and manufacturing.

Build, maintain, and audit all related documentation as it relates to policies, standards, processes, procedures, topologies/diagrams, configuration, training, service records, support contacts, disaster recovery, and backup/recovery.

Responsible for software and hardware upgrades and EOL/EOS refresh as part of life cycle management, including ongoing security patching and vulnerability remediation according to established policies and standards.

Provide Tier 1 technical expertise and support and act as escalation point for the Distribution Center users, Reyes Holdings Network Team and US Field IT team to review and resolve technical issues through completion, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Adhere to and participate in the current and future IT Service Management processes including, but not limited to incident, problem, and change control procedures.

Work with external vendors and Reyes Holdings Network team to finalize network surveys and remediation plans as needed.

Other projects or duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in computer engineering, information technology, or any computer-related field.
-
3+ years working experience and proficiency with planning, designing, supporting, maintaining, and administering mission critical LAN, WAN, Network Security, and Wireless Network Infrastructure such as Cisco SD-WAN and Cisco ACI, F5 Load Balancers, as well as with Proxy, Routing, Switching, and WAN connectivity.

Experience with supporting technologies such as Infoblox, scripting, and/or patching.

Experience with supporting technologies and routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, IGRP, EIGRP, PBR.

Knowledge of Layer 2 network concepts including spanning tree, VPC, and VLAN design (example: Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches).
-
Experience with technology such as: Wireless (WiFi) 802.11 a/b/g/n technologies, Network security/VPN/SSL technologies, such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Cisco Nexus platforms

Knowledge of network architecture and maintenance, such as log analysis, backup/recovery, high availability, capacity planning, and DR/resiliency.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Prior experience working with a managed service provider.
-
Proficiency or working knowledge of Cyber Security frameworks and methodology such as CIS Benchmarks and/or NIST.
-
Proficiency in Internet/Intranet technologies including security features.
-
Working knowledge of setting up networks and network security within Microsoft cloud platforms.
-
Working knowledge of supporting technologies and protocols such as DNS/DHCP/IPAM (such as Infoblox), Load Balancing (F5), scripting, and/or patching.
-
Knowledge of network architecture and maintenance, such as log analysis, backup/recovery, high availability, and DR/resiliency.
-
Working knowledge of WAN technologies including but not limited to MPLS, DMVPN, IPSEC and SDWAN.
-
Knowledge of Cisco ACI and VXLan and SD-WAN networking.
-
Proficiency or working knowledge managing and supporting public cloud environments such as: Microsoft Azure and/or Oracle OCI.
-
Proficiency or working knowledge of Infrastructure Automation tools such as DNA Center and/or Red Hat Ansible Tower.
-
Knowledge managing and supporting public cloud environments such as: Microsoft Azure, Oracle OCI and/or Amazon AWS.
-
Knowledge of Network Automation tools such as Red Hat Ansible or Cisco DNA Center.
-
Knowledge of SIEM systems and procedures.
-
Knowledge of Security features of load balancing technologies.
-
Certifications such as: CCNP, CCVP, or CCIE.
