This team is looking for an SD-WAN engineer to work across multiple geographic regions supporting some of the newest technologies including DNA Center and SD-WAN in addition to seasoned products like Prime Infrastructure and APIC-EM. The teams are dynamic and fluid, often cross-collaborating to ensure a seamless end-to-end support experience for our customers. Team members are continually engaged in learning new products and technologies, regularly honing their expertise and skill sets. What You'll Do
As a Software-Defined Solutions engineer, you will collaborate with talented, dynamic, passionate, and diverse team members who support Cisco customers to resolve highly complex technical issues across multiple solutions including Prime Infrastructure, APIC-EM, SD-WAN, and DNA Center. The team is looking for a talented, passionate, and highly motivated individual to join our fast-paced customer support organization. The ideal candidate will be customer-driven and able to drive a positive customer experience and successful issue resolution throughout the duration of a service request. He or she should be collaborative, able to quickly and effectively adapt to change, and a self-starter who is willing to identify opportunities and execute accordingly. The team is looking for someone who will regularly seek out new knowledge, training, certifications, etc. and is comfortable suggesting new, creative ideas to improve our team, our organization, and the customer experience. The candidate should excel under pressure and be able to manage a significant caseload while delivering results in a timely manner.
The preferred candidate should have networking experience in designing, installing, configuring and maintenance of network equipment such as routers, Switches, Firewalls, Wireless access points and Load Balancers. 3+ years providing customer support, troubleshooting, and configuration for WAN engineering , SD-WAN configuration & implementation experience, experience and understanding of local access and routing/switching and hands on experience on AWS cloud services like Compute, Network, Storage and Identity & access management. Experience with Linux and Database expertise is a plus.
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Analyze, use, and configure network management applications for medium to critical complexity networks.
*Consult via phone and email to debug network systems problems of growing levels of complexity; provide support on a global basis.
* Provide systems product training and mentoring, and assist in problem resolution where required.
* Handle caseload and other assignments efficiently while being able to resolve time-critical situations reliably and professionally.
* Demonstrate an aptitude and appetite for learning new technologies, evidenced by the ability to expand upon core knowledge.
* 5+ years proving customer support to resolve problems and deliver solutions.
Bachelor's Degree with a technical focus or equivalent industry experience
* Knowledge of network protocols - SNMP, Telnet, SSH, IGP, EGP, LISP, VxLAN, etc.
* Experience with network management, products and protocols
* Knowledge of Platforms : Variants of ISR routers, vEdge, cEdge,vManage, Nexus switches, Catalyst family and Variants of Cisco UCS
* CCNA certification or higher
* Software experience, specifically Python or Java
Nice to Haves:
2+ years' experience with LINUX/UNIX
2+ years' experience with database management (Relational DB & NoSQL DB experience a plus)
2+ years exposure to VMWare, Oracle, and Red Hat
*Preferred but not requirement: TOP SECRET/SCI
