Job SummaryAs a Senior ACI Engineer specializing in Multi-Pod ACI Code Upgrades, you will be responsible for leading and executing a code upgrade for a Multi-Pod ACI environment across two datacenters. Your primary objective will be to ensure the successful execution of the code upgrade while minimizing the impact on the network and the end-users. You will work closely with the clients, project managers, and a team of engineers to ensure that the code upgrade is executed efficiently and effectively.

ResponsibilitiesPlan, design, and execute an ACI code upgrade for a multi-pod multi-datacenter environment.

Help the customer to determine the best version of ACI to migrate to.

Analyze and document the current state of the network and identify potential risks and issues that could arise during the upgrade.

Develop and maintain a detailed project plan and schedule to ensure the timely execution of the code upgrade.

Work with the client to communicate the upgrade plan, manage expectations, and mitigate potential risks or concerns.

Collaborate with the project team to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned on the project scope, timeline, and deliverables.

Conduct testing and validation of the code upgrade in a non-production environment before executing in the production environment.

Lead the execution of the code upgrade, ensuring minimal impact to the network and end-users.

Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the code upgrade and work with the team to identify and implement solutions.

Document and communicate the progress of the upgrade, including any issues or changes that arise during the execution.

QualificationsStrong experience in ACI Code Upgrades, with a focus on multi-pod environments.

Strong experience with Cisco ACI, including ACI fabric, ACI Multi-Site, and ACI security policies.

Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VLANs, VXLANs, routing, and switching.

Familiarity with datacenter virtualization technologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Cisco ACI certification (CCIE Data Center or CCNP Data Center) is a plus.

SDL2017
