Position: Senior Cisco Network Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA (100% onsite)

Duration: 6 Months (possible extension up to 2 years)

Job Description:

  • The client is currently looking for a Network Architect to assist us in expanding our rapidly expanding network and network security business.
  • The Network Engineer will be in charge of assisting our customers in the design of next-generation software-defined data centres, enterprise networks (WAN/LAN), and public cloud networks.
  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in architecting, engineering, and deploying networking solutions in these areas, with a focus on Zscaler, Cisco, Palo Alto, Azure, and AWS platforms.
  • Furthermore, the candidate should have strong work planning skills, the ability to lead client discussions and guide them to solutions, and an understanding of the technical implications of business requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in engagements, client workshops, and equipment installations.
  • Take the lead on technical escalations and drive incidents/problems until they are resolved, using advice and assistance from manufacturers and other team members as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and thorough communication with client stakeholders and project managers throughout the project life cycle.
  • In client workshops and engagements, act as the network/security subject matter expert.
  • Create a variety of client assessment and design deliverables, such as written documents and precise low-level diagrams.
  • Create level of effort documents and assist with technical project scoping.
  • Constantly improve technical skill sets through certifications, training, and conferences in your spare time based on business needs.
  • Through training sessions and on-the-job mentoring, you can help and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Client policies require that travel and expense activities be tracked, maintained, and reported.
  • Weekly time tracking, maintenance, and reporting in accordance with client policies


  • At least one professional or expert level (preferred) industry certification (Examples include: CCNP, CCIE R+S).
  • Advanced knowledge in more than one of the following areas of networking: network security, campus networking, data center networking, or software defined networking. (Note: Cisco ACI, NSX, or SD-WAN experience preferred).
  • Degree in the Information Technology field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of consulting experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working as a technical lead in small to medium sized technical networking projects.
  • Customer focused, and results driven.
  • Ability to work under critical conditions and influence others to achieve results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent presentation skills.
  • Professional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be independent, self-motivated, a self-starter and possess a good working attitude.
  • Ability to work well within a team and partner environment, including mentoring and training other team members.
