Description

Optomi, in partnership with an industry leader, is looking for an a Senior Network Engineer. We are looking for a senior Network Engineer that has a deep knowledge in Cisco to develop, maintain, and secure the existing networks. If you have a strong background in Cisco route/switch, F5 Load Balancing, Cisco ACI, and a proven track record of managing complex network projects and infrastructures, we want to hear from you!

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Cisco Certification: CCNP or CCIE certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles, with a strong focus on Cisco route/switch, F5 Load balancing, and Cisco ACI. Technical Proficiency:
  • Proficiency in Cisco routing and switching technologies (Cisco IOS, Nexus, Catalyst).
  • Extensive experience with F5 Load balancing products (BIG-IP).
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco ACI architecture and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, security, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain complex network architectures with a primary focus on Cisco route/switch, F5 Load balancing, and Cisco ACI technologies.
  • Routing and Switching: Manage and optimize Cisco routing and switching infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Load Balancing: Design, configure, and troubleshoot F5 Load balancing solutions to enhance application delivery and maximize uptime.
  • Cisco ACI: Administer and maintain Cisco ACI environments, including policy management, network segmentation, and troubleshooting.
  • Network Security: Collaborate with the security team to implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPN solutions.
  • Network Monitoring: Develop and implement network monitoring and performance analysis tools to proactively identify and resolve network issues.
  • Capacity Planning: Analyze network traffic patterns and capacity requirements to recommend and implement necessary upgrades or improvements.
